Amie’s Oils on Canvas

Recently, Ms. Amie started sharing the process of creating one of her paintings. Over the course of several weeks friend of hers on Facebook got a real treat.
She began posting her sketches as she went along in her creation of “Duality,” one of the newest in the Oil Collection and subcategorized in The Fey Collection.
It was amazing to watch the development and sparked many of the coming projects for this website in future months. Not being an artist with more than an idea, keyboard, thesaurus and microphone; I was personally amazed at the amount of work, time and decision there is in creating an oil painting on canvas.
She then further blew me away by sharing with me some of the things she uses other and a paint brush to create her very unique style of artwork. Some of these items included a razor blade and a toothbrush! There are more I won’t list here as Ms. Amie is considering doing some web-casts of her process. It will be great fun to tune in to see her taking a concept from idea to finished canvas.
